TESTIMONIO

“Take the stones people throw at you and use them as a monument.”
This famous line by Robin Sharma summarizes the journey  of the girl that I know. This girl named Maddison eversince she was a kid she fell inlove with the colors, so maddly that she would paint ths walls of their house with innocent colors, childishly she would beg and cry to her father to buy her a set of crayons with 48 colors, so bad that every birthdays that will pass by she would ask for a new sketchpad, and passionately she will cry her heart out when someone says that her art is so beautiful.
Maddison turned 5 and the only thing that she desired is to be able to draw Detective Conan and proudly give it to her father. Christmas arrived and the only gift she wants to receive are good set of pencils. Whenever her friend’s birthday she would stay late up night and pour herself to make an artwork to give it as a present. There’s nothing like drawing that makes her feel herself.
As the years passed people recognized her as a girl who feel in love with drawing. As Madison entered her Highschool life, a big change took place.
New faces, new people, and new challenges, people began laughing at her works, people began comparing her to someone better she felt uneasy for she never wanted to become the best, she only wanted to be appreciated.
Madison felt low. There’s this one time a teacher chose her to represent their school in an art competition. People began complaining asking “why her, our school will lose ! it should’ve been someone else.” She cried and cried and she felt frustrated about it. She refused her teacher’s offer but Madison’s teacher said that she can do it.
“Practice your passion, I was once like you I just ignore them and just do what I love, because the only person who will believe in you is yourself, no one will be there you pick yourself up. Luckily, you have me, you have your family and friends who believes in you.”
Madison trained so hard that she would finish 4 sets of drawing within four hours a day, she did that for 2 weeks every after class. She cried every night thinking she’s not enough.
The day of the competition came, her very first competition ever, she felt nervous at the same time amazed of how many participants are there. The time began ticking 4 hours were given to them. “Live you dreams” that is the theme of the competition as she go on her artwork she thinks of her dream, her dream of making people smile with her works.
And she won! She won the first prize over a hundred a four participants, her hard work paid off, this who believed in her wasn’t disappointed. She used those cristisms to build herself up!
